What Is Therapy?
Counseling therapy is a process by which an individual or individuals who are dissatisfied or struggling with some aspects of their lives enter into a relationship with a trained professional to:
•Gain greater insight into their situation
•Process thoughts, feelings and emotions
•Develop more effective ways of coping and responding to life experiences
•Improve and strengthen relationships
It is my belief that to achieve our goals, happiness, and self-actualization in life, we must work to maintain balance among our physical-self, our emotional-self, and our spiritual-self. Counseling therapy is tailored to your goals and needs and has the intention of improving your quality of life.
What is a LMFT?
LMFT stands for Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, but don't be fooled into thinking that they treat ONLY married couples and families. LMFTs assess, diagnose, and treat most psychological disorders and behavioral problems and work with individuals of all ages, couples, and families to form healthier boundaries and relationships and work toward self-actualization in life.
